Buddhism
Buddha advised his followers not to accept his words on blind faith, but to decide for themselves whether his teachings are right or wrong, then follow them. He encouraged everyone to have compassion for each other and develop their own virtue.
One of the items that is in the Noble Eightfold Path is:
To refrain from destroying living beings...
But seems to me that this is the thing humans like to do the most
Being a Buddhist also means that I believe in Karma.... Where everything is in a never ending circle.. What bad things/sins you commit now would not necessary be given back to you this life... But you may need to repay it in your next life..
A chief monk once explained to me the meaning of life and being the highest being on earth. His explanation is simple and very direct although gruesome but it was straight to the point. He said that when we humans look at maggots feasting on a piece of meat, we as humans feels very disgusted by the sight of it. But for the maggots, they do not feel disgusted at eating the raw meat as they are born to do it. And they do it in order to survive. The same would be for us... Whatever we do everyday in order to survive, we do not feel disgusted about it at all.... However, if there are beings higher then us, they would look at us as how we look at the maggots.
This statement has left me to ponder about our existence on earth for a long time. The only thing i can put my finger on is God created us humans to manage and take care of out planet. Isn't it a miracle that in our solar system, out of the 9 planets in our solar system, our planet is the only one that is habitable.. There is one thing that i have been pondering upon... Does any of the other 8 planets have living beings there in the past? Even way before dinosaurs roamed the surface of the earth? I guess that is one question that will not be answered in this millenna...

Dogs..... In general
I would not be bold enough to say that i know alot on dogs. But the more i learn about dogs and breeding, the more i feel disgusted at what some breeders are doing. They are very unscropulous and tend to do whatever they can to sell a dog.
For more information on what is a dog, below is a website for reference:

Studies vs Working
wat have we learned for the 2 yrs in kindergarden, the 6 yrs in primary school, the 5 or 7 years in secondary school, and the few headbanging years in university/college/polytechnic???
can anyone tell me truthfully that they remember everything that their teacher/lecturers thought them??
or can anyone tell me their best friend from ur kindergarden/primary school???
or mayb the best thing that ever happened to u when u were in school???
or even how many of their childhood/school friends that they still have contact with??? heck… i lost contact witl all of them like millions n millions of years ago….
so what have we learned for so many years?? i remember learning bout counting…. A, B,C n stuff like that…. and i also remembered some of the teachers punishing us for small mistakes….. making us stand on the chair… on the table/desks…. and some wven resort to the cane when we didnt finish our homework or being naughty in class….. that was the good ol’ times….
time has changed… and so has the people…. u cant even cane a student now without getting complains from their parents…. or even a police report for doing so… what has happened to the parents now?? their precious little babies… canot be caned or punished…
but lets put that aside and talk about studies …. can anyone really tell me that what they are studing then has anything to do with wat they are doing now??? i know of some friends who studied engineering… but now working as manager in eateries…. or working in some company that is totally not related at all to what they studied….. is it worth it??? to study something and then do something else???
mayb some of you think that the degree or certificate is an important piece of paper for someones future…. but to me… its just a piece of trash paper of no value at all…. dont take me wrong… i’m not saying that studying is no good…. if u r studying something that you like… something that u want to make a living thru it… then its a good thing…. but if u were just to study just for the sake of passing an exam or to get the piece of paper… then i’ll say that u r so gonna regret it later in l ife….
everyday we hear of graduates not getting employed….and their reasons…. too many to mention here… but most of them will say "the pay is not enough", "i have a degree n i want a job that does not make my hands dirty", i have a degree but i still have to start from the bottom" etc etc etc and the list goes on… but has anyone ever thought of what they really want to do??? has anyone thought of the consequences of sitting in a position that high??? has anyone thought of what will happen if something goes wrong???
let me tell u guys something…. i did not finish my degree and it really made my parents sad…. n i mean really heartbroken….. all i have is a polytechnic diploma…. but i got a job and started working in 1 week after i technically got kicked out from my stupid university… i’m not proud of the fact that i got kicked out of a university… but at leaast i know now what i want to do…. and what i’m doing now is what i’ve been wanting to do for as long as i can remember…
as a person who is working now… my advice to students out there is study what u wanna do in the future…. dont just study for the grades…. in universities or colleges what u study might not be applicable to what u r doing… assuming that what u r studying and doing is the same…. u cant take gor granted for example in engineering…. when u get the software to calculate the friction or lifespan of a part that u r designing and take the reading as an accurate reading…. this is because there are alot of factors to be considered … like humidity, wear n tear, the condition of where that particular part is going to be.. corrosion…. and stuffs like that…. a computer software is only 60% accurate…. but most if the time is 80% inacurate… therefore it all comes down to experience…
and for ur first job, dont ever ever ever think of sitting in a high post n odering ppl around…. ppl especially those doing hard labour does not like to be pushed n shoved around by someone who only know how to talk…. so for fresh graduates… be ready to get your hands dirty… n i mean reall dirty…. everyone has to start from scratch… forget of what u have studied…. forget of what u have learned….. and do not ever intimidate or lok down at those uncles or old men or those filthy n smelly men that does all the hard labour…. they are the ppl with the most experience…. treat them well… n learn from them….
if u still r thinking of just sitting in a chair behind a desk in an office odering ppl around… then ponder on this… what will happen if ur customer asks u how exactly something is put into place…. will u know the answer??? or mayb if someone were to ask why is there an extra pieve of metal between the frames…. or how is the machine programmed… or why it the welding on one side diffrent from the other side ….etc etc etc….. can u really explain to those ppl correctly if not accurately???
well everyone has their views on this… but who actually has the correct answer?? nobody knows… lets just say i’m wrong…. but who is correct???
